Usually our family has a tradition of going to the temple lights on the first night they flip on-for the first second they flip on. It is always such a cool sight to see the temple suddenly bathes in twinkle lights. However, this year was a bit different! The church website said the lights would be turning on Thanksgiving day, which would have been hard to do with our schedule. Thus, we decided not to push it and figured we'd just head to the temple on Sunday evening to take a leisurely stroll through the lights-it might even be nicer than the yearly fight to the center of the grounds, just to see the lights flip on and then pretty much leave because of the drastic crowds. I think our plan worked out great honestly-it was much less crowded than normal, and the kids loved seeing the lights, especially Sara who is very enthralled with anything Christmas related this year. Here's some great pictures we took while there!
