Holiday Hoedown!

Karianna had her 3rd grade play today!  She has been talking about this thing for months now, so excited to play her part as a cowgirl!  Unlike previous grades, this was a true blue musical of a play:  they danced, they sang, and they acted.  It was actually quite a feat when you think about it, and they did a great job!

Karianna looked adorable in her cowgirl costume-by far the cutest one up there (in my humble opinion).  She LOVES her boots that her grandparents bought for her as an early Christmas gift. :)  Karianna said her lines perfectly when it came time-she had been practicing her southern twang for a while and it came out a bit!  She looked a bit embarrased by the dance moves, but you could tell she was singing as loudly as she could.  We were so proud of her for letting her little light shine!

Karianna's best friend, Braelyn was a reindeer.  Braelyn is super strong, as evidenced by this picture!

After we were done, Karianna got to go shopping with me and Grandma for wedding cothes for Uncle David and Aunt Sara's wedding.  While Grandma was checking out, Karianna and I wandered over to the toy section.  If you looked up the word "destroyed" in the dictionary, you would have seen a picture of the toy section of Burtlington Coat Factory on that very night.  I could not believe how terrible it looked!!!  That's when Karianna realized today's Christmas Advent activity was "Do something nice for someone else".  So we did:  we cleaned the entire toy section.  We were super furtive about it, going back to browsing if anyone walked by, and then sneakily continuing our act of service when they had left.  We didn't have enough time to try and organize the shelves, but by the time we were done, the boys were off the floor and put away, the books were back in the bookcases, and the mini chairs were lined up nicely.  We snuck away and no one knew, which is exactly how we wanted it.  I hope it made someone's day-if not, thats okay, it was a fun Christmas moment to share with my little cowgirl!
