Christmas Treats
This week my third graders and I travelled to France to learn about winter holiday traditions as compared to US holiday traditions. One of our favorite traditions was the Buche de Nol, which is a log-shaped cake that literally means "Christmas Log". After learning about this tradition, we used swiss cake roles, frosting, powdered sugar (snow) and m&ms (holly) to make our own mini buche de nols. It was such a hit!
